Begin your day with a delicious breakfast at the hotel before setting out on an unforgettable journey through the Middle of the World. Our first stop is the Pululahua Crater, whose name means “smoke of water” in the indigenous Quichua language. Pululahua is an inactive volcano and one of the few places on Earth as spectacular as this natural wonder. It is also home to one of only two inhabited volcanic craters in the world. After admiring the breathtaking views, we continue to the Intiñan Museum, where your tour guide will demonstrate fascinating physics experiments that prove you are standing exactly at latitude 0° 0’ 0’’ . The tour continues with a stroll through the Middle of the World City, a charming colonial-style town. Upon entering, you’ll walk along Geodetic Avenue, flanked by 13 stone busts honoring the members of the French Geodesic Mission, who arrived in Ecuador in 1736. Inside the complex stands the iconic Equator Monument, a nine-story structure offering panoramic views of this unique location at the center of the world. Here, you will enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, featuring a set menu and one included drink.
After lunch, the adventure continues with a transfer to Quito's historic center, the largest and best-preserved in the Americas. Declared the first World Cultural Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1978, this enchanting area invites you to step back in time and experience its narrow cobblestone streets, volcanic stone buildings, historic monasteries, and stunning baroque and gothic churches. Enjoy a walking tour of Quito’s main squares, each telling a story of the city’s rich history: Independence Square, the vibrant heart of Old Town, surrounded by the Cathedral, Presidential Palace, Municipal Building, and Archbishop’s Palace, El Sagrario Church and La Compañía Church, masterpieces of Latin American baroque architecture, with interiors adorned in dazzling gold leaf. Stroll through San Francisco Square, Santo Domingo Square, and La Ronda Street, Quito’s oldest street, alive with bohemian art, traditional crafts, local flavors, and lively street performances. Indulge in a tasting at an artisanal chocolate shop and savor the exquisite flavors of Ecuador’s finest chocolate. Pause to enjoy panoramic views of the magnificent Basilica del Voto Nacional, a breathtaking architectural landmark. Then, transfer to Panecillo Hill, a natural viewpoint offering stunning views of the Andean landscape and the city’s unique layout. Afterwards, transfer to the hotel.

Bartolome Island Visit the iconic Bartolomé Island, home to one of the most photographed landscapes in the Galápagos. After a dry landing, climb a wooden staircase of approximately 372 steps to reach a spectacular panoramic viewpoint. From the summit, enjoy breathtaking views of the famous Pinnacle Rock and the surrounding volcanic scenery, including Santiago Island. This dramatic landscape showcases the geological origins of the islands in a truly unforgettable way. Following the hike, enjoy snorkeling in crystalclear waters where you may encounter Galápagos penguins, whitetipped reef sharks, rays, and playful sea lions. This excursion is considered medium difficulty due to the climb. Sullivan Bay (Santiago Island) In the afternoon, visit Sullivan Bay on Santiago Island, a remarkable site known for its extensive pahoehoe lava fields formed by relatively recent volcanic activity. After a dry landing, enjoy a guided walk of approximately 1.5 hours across flat lava terrain, where your guide will explain the island’s volcanic origins and the role of pioneering plants such as Mollugo in this unique ecosystem. The dramatic contrasts of lava and ocean also make this an excellent location for photography. Punta Pitt (San Cristobal Island) In the morning, visit Punta Pitt, one of the most unique wildlife sites in the archipelago and the only place where you can observe the three species of boobies in the same location. After a wet landing, enjoy a guided hike of approximately 2 hours across rocky terrain with spectacular coastal views. Along the trail, spot red-footed boobies nesting in trees, Nazca boobies along the cliffs, and blue-footed boobies further inland. Frigatebirds soar overhead, completing this extraordinary birdwatching experience. Optional activities include kayaking or glass-bottom boat rides (45 minutes), as well as beach snorkeling (approximately 1 hour). Cerro Brujo (San Cristobal Island) IIn the afternoon, explore Cerro Brujo, a beautiful white-sand beach overlooked by the impressive cliffs of "Sorcerer's Hill. " After a dry landing, enjoy a relaxing one-hour stroll along the beach, often accompanied by sea lions basking on the sand. You can also visit a nearby lagoon, home to various bird species such as black-necked stilts, curlews, and pintails. This area is home to "La Galapaguera, " a conservation center dedicated to the protection and breeding of the San Cristóbal giant tortoise, endemic to San Cristóbal. During a visit of approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes, observe these iconic creatures at different stages of their life cycle while learning about the conservation efforts underway to restore their populations in their natural habitat. The tour includes a scenic round-trip transfer of approximately 1 hour. After the visit, you will also have time to explore local shops offering handicrafts and souvenirs.
San Cristobal Airport to Quito After this memorable visit, transfer to San Cristobal Airport for your return flight to Quito. Upon arrival in Quito, you’ll be warmly welcomed at the airport and transferred to the city.
